M/S as a man in top hat, possibly Viscount Lascelles, walks down line of Scots Guards, various shots as he inspects them. M/S as Princess Mary and her party walk away. L/S of two Union Jacks strung on banners above the foundations of the tunnels, people stand near them in the square below. A man on the platform above places something, possibly a key, in a holder and Princess Mary turns it, various shots of the platform. L/S as men stand in a circle and start work on the tunnel by digging and drilling at the ground, various shots as people watch them, they take their hats off then replace them. They give three cheers, various shots as the men work. L/S of the platform, the camera pans down to the crowds below and across them. Various shots of the equipment and drills. | |
