| Description: | ZOO ARTISTS Art students appointed to take care (and portraits!) of animals in Chessington zoo. Chessington Zoo, Chessington, Surrey. M/S of four people walking across neatly cut grass. Pan to an interesting signpost - signs reading "penguins", "phesantry", "zebra", "hyena" etc. Cut to the people walking. Another person (keeper) joins them. This is Chessington Zoo and people are 'zoo artists'. They are the newest employees of the zoo - art students appointed to take care of animals and, hopefully, make some interesting portraits. Kipper directs 'artists' where to go. M/S of one of the artists meeting an elephant. High angle C/U shot of a colourful palette next to a foamy bucket. C/U shot of the elephant's face - he seems happy. Student takes a brush and starts washing the elephant's face. C/U shot of a leopard half asleep in his cage. M/S of a girl (one of the students) feeding parrots. C/U shot of the girl's face. C/U shot of the three colourful parrots being fed. M/S of several flamingos in the pond. Student cuts the grass around the pond. He wipes the sweat off his face (badly staged). M/S of flamingos - sweet. Another student washes the pavement around the bear cage. Bear tries to reach a bucket and he finally does it but he spills the water and bucket just rolls off. C/U shot of a lion behind bars. Great shot of a leopard lying on his back like a little kitten. M/S of the students starting to draw something on a cage wall. Cut to a tiger cage with a jungle painted on the wall behind him. Tiger looks great. M/S of the students drawing a camel. Camel seems to be very lively, not in a mood for posing. She/he is not very patient and she/he demands to be petted. Several C/U shots of the camel's face intercut with students' faces and their drawings. | |
