The year 1968 established itself as pivotal in U.S. and international history.  Assassinations, riots and war seemed to contradict hopeful events such as the successful Apollo 8 mission, while musicians and fashion designers explored new frontiers.  Forty years later, we look back at key scenes from that turbulent year.
