Exclusive Footage of JFK Assassination and more celebrities…
A collection of 1960s and 70s news films shot by a Texas cameraman features not only exclusive footage of JFK and Jackie Kennedy on the day of the assassination in Dallas, but also an LHO Trial Recreation filmed in the 1970s, a time when movies revolving around conspiracy theories abound. The same collection includes archival footage of Andy Warhol, Colonel Sanders, Yul Brynner, Sophia Loren, Johnny Cash, Liberace, Willie Nelson, Prince Ranier and Grace Kelly, Billy Graham, Phyllis George, George Bush, Ross Perot, Evel Knievel, and many more. 1954 Color Footage of Jackie Robinson
Baseball fans watch out! WPA archivists have recently unearthed amazing color footage of Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays, Hank Thompson, Don Liddle and other members of the New York Giants and Cleveland Indians at spring training in 1954. In other sports-related news, a historic newsreel has surfaced showing Muhammad Ali arriving at Sam Houston station in Texas to contest his military draft induction.

Bourbon Street, UFOs, Time Lapse and more…
Newly acquired contemporary stock shots include crisp 35mm footage of New Orleans’ French Quarter and Bourbon Street, San Francisco, along with stunning Time Lapse shots of stars swirling and rising behind Bell Rock red rock butte in Sedona, Arizona, a nearly full moon rising and setting against sheer black sky, clouds, sunsets and more. Contemporary footage of the Extraterrestrial Highway in Nevada and UFO-related signs, museums and attractions in and around Roswell, NM, nicely complements WPA’s popular 1950s UFO collection with fascinating testimonies of alien abductees.
