New Afghanistan Footage
Shot in the summer of 2002, this new
collection shows a glimpse of life in Northern
Afghanistan and also contains exclusive
coverage from inside the Afghan prison system.
It captures possibly the most intimate
portraits to date of self-admitted al-Quaeda
members.
The
footage shows al-Quaeda and Taliban prisoners
inside their cells. A 20-minute interview with
a Pakistani al-Quaeda member who fought
alongside the "American Taliban" John Walker
Lindh, and images of starving and tortured al-Quaeda
prisoners are some of the most impressive
images in this collection.

Another highlight is exclusive footage from
inside an old British fort called Quila Jenghi.
Bloody hand to hand combat took place there
during America's "War on Terrorism", which was
immortalized in the CNN documentary "House of
War: The battle of Mazar i Sharif". More than
400 Taliban and al-Quaeda troops, including
John Walker Lindh, were captured by the
Northern Alliance and imprisoned in Quila
Jenghi. One of the largest prison revolts in
history ensued while two CIA operatives
interviewed Lindh at Quila Jenghi, resulting
in the deaths of hundreds of Northern Alliance
soldiers and more than three hundred
prisoners. |

The
collection also offers footage of Afghanistan city
life, rural life, women in Burkhas, children,
gunmen, shepherds, shops, medical facilities and
Islamic lifestyle footage.
