The foundations of a proud and prosperous national existence have been laid. No nation has given a more gallant or inspiring example of willingness to face up to its fundamental problems and its national and international responsibility than Israel. They have continued to developed as a free and democratic state and play a full and honorable part in protecting the peace and promoting the welfare of its people".
