Master 1490 - Tape 2 Great TLS several colorful late-model American-made 1950s automobiles parked at Carolina drive-in restaurant, one sedan car with whitewall tires pulling out of parking space; shot begins stationary, then progresses into traveling shot of restaurant & parking lot. (48-3) MS view through glass double doors as customers (white adults dressed in casuals) walking by restaurant counter; buxom young white female hostess wearing tight-fitting brown dress & heels leads man & woman toward dining area, craning her head for an open spot; note the uniformed soda jerk working counter in BG. Great MS three generations of white nuclear family exiting restaurant through glass double doors, each holding ice cream cones: 30ish mother & two well-dressed, well-groomed children, followed by her mother (wearing white gloves & gray coat) & father (wearing suit, tie, fedora hat). Fantastic Americana, Eisenhower era. (48-4) LS restaurant from across street, palm tree in BG; bulbous, painfully American cars stop at intersection, traffic light in FG. (48-5) Excellent panning TLS late-model American cars ( inc a dreamy cream & blue colored Chevrolet Bel Air hardtop sedan & a red convertible that looks like a Ford Thunderbird only convertible) parked at Carolina drive-in restaurant, Los Angeles; stop pan at two young white female waitresses in uniforms akin to that of gas station attendants delivering trays of food to powder blue soft top sedan. Great TLS waitress walking to driver side of black sedan w/ white-wall tires to take food order, two light blue sedans (one hardtop, the other a soft-top convertible w/ top down) passing in FG; drive-in waitress takes order. Nice TLS red convertible w/ two young white male passengers driving in restaurant parking lot, pan left with Buick sedan pulling into parking space at drive-in. (48-6) Great Americana footage.
