His crew frantically refills the car with gasoline. Some jack his car and change his worn tires. Darnell smiles at the camera while waiting. He waves at his crew to speed up and one tries to cool down the engine. #9 Herb Shannon in a 1965 Dodge pulls into the pit. They change out his Firestone tires before racing back onto the track. A 1965 Mercury Comet Cyclone is in the pit. Firestone pit crew member is looking under the back of the car for something as he gets gasoline. CU one crew member carefully patches a rubber Firestone tire. #56 1965 Plymouth driven by Jim Hurtubise pulls into the pit. Norm Nelson s racing team refuels and replaces tires. The pit manager is wearing a funky yellow shirt with black skid marks going down his back and white pants as Jim prepares to speed off. Northside Chrysler is a sponsor. The crew looks content as he leaves for the track.
