Same as catalog #432930 Master 109 - Tape 2 Late 1950s-early 1960s TV commercial for Date Mate dating cards: MS white teenage girl name Joanne standing at high school locker, rummaging for books between classes; off-screen announcer beckons her; she turns, VO asks if she forgot something; Joanne comically replies that she brushed her teeth (makes finger-brushing motion), then says she used her anti-dandruff shampoo, patting her blond lilting locks. Upon prompting, she pulls out her Date Mate card, which will presumably ease the burden of holding conversations on first dates. They list the special interests and pertinent data of the holder in order to elicit the common interests of boys. After showing off card, girl drops books; CU boy picking them up, noticing the Date Mate card. CU teenage girl winking at camera, saying that guys never forget girls packing DateMate cards in thick Chicago accent. Product shot of Date Mate card display.
