In Washington, The President addresses a luncheon meeting of 1,800 cheering Republican women and tells of Administration Plans to meet the recession. President Eisenhower: This administration will continue to undertake by executive action or proposals to the congress any measure, including tax reduction if after consultation with the congressional leaders such action shall prove desirable and necessary that will assist healthy economic recovery. (Applause) This recovery effort of the American people will be successful. It will be successful because we have faith in our nation, in our free economy and in ourselves." (Applause)
