Introduction to Porter Wagoner show #79. Program opens with Wagoner and Wagonmasters Speck Rhodes, Don Warden, and George McCormick plus Norma Jean onscreen singing "Howdy Neighbor Howdy." Over title card decorated with drawing of Wagoner, announcer Hairl Hensley introduces Wagoner and The Wagonmasters, show regulars Speck Rhodes and Norma Jean, and "your favorite songs and stars of the Grand Ole Opry!" Wearing dazzling lame' Nudie suit festooned with rhinestones, Wagoner welcomes audience, then plays guitar and sings "Will You Be Loving Another Man" from his 1964 LP "The Bluegrass Story," backed by The Wagonmasters. The Wagonmasters are also seen wearing matching Nudie suits for the first time. MS of Mack and Buck's supernaturally cheerful solos, which crack Porter up so much that he forgets the lyrics after Trent's banjo pyrotechnics.

Porter welcomes country comedians Lonzo and Oscar. Oscar tells corny joke about Speck getting married in a bathtub: "his wife wanted a double ring wedding."

Coming out of commercial break we see CU of Buck's electric banjo, as Buck leads the Wagonmasters in a short version of "Stampede," the b-side of their RCA/ Victor single.

Wagoner introduces Pretty Miss Norma Jean. Norma plays guitar and sings "Let's Go All The Way" from her 1964 LP of the same name, backed by The Wagonmasters. MS Buck on banjo, MS Speck, Don and George.

Porter plays guitar and sings "Uncle Pen," from his 1962 LP "A Slice Of Life," accompanied by The Wagonmasters. MS of the ever-cheerful Mr. Mack Magaha on fiddle.

Porter thanks audience for patronizing sponsors, then introduces gap-toothed comedian Speck Rhodes, who makes call on old-time crank telephone wearing his trademark checkered suit with bow tie and bowler hat. Rhodes chats with fictional operator/girlfriend Sadie. Rhodes lets loose a slew of corny old fashioned jokes.

Wagoner wraps up show as Wagonmasters play instrumental show outro and announcer signs off. Wagoner shakes hands with Norma Jean and guests, waves goodbye as Magaha dances and fiddles us off the air.
